The German national team have damaged the replica of the World cup trophy during celebrations of their victory against Argentina, states a report by Daily Mail.
The head of Germany's soccer federation Wolfgang Niersbach has said that a small portion of the cup has been chipped off, but they have experts to repair it.
The original cup which contains 4.3 kg of gold and bears the name of all winners since 1974 is kept safely in Switzerland.
