Kannada star Ganesh has signed a deal to star in a film titled Geetha. The film will be directed by debutant Vijay Nagendra, who was an associate of director Santhosh Anandram. It has three heroines in the star cast and they are Prayaga Martin, Parvathy Arun and Shanvi Srivastava. The film is jointly bankrolled by Golden Films and producer Syed Salam. The technical crew of this film includes V Harikrishna for music and Sreesha Kuduvalli for cinematography. The shooting of the talkie portions of this film has been completed and the team has to can just two more songs which will be done soon.

Meanwhile, Ganesh is awaiting the release of 99. Directed by Preetham Gubbi, the film happens to be noted music director Arjun Janya’s 100th film and its cinematography is handled by Santhosh Rai Pathaje. The film was bankrolled under the banner Ramu Enterprises. It may be noted that 99 is the remake of the hit Tamil film 96, which had Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha as the lead pair. 99 is scheduled for release on May 1.

Besides Geetha and 99, Ganesh also has Gimmick in his kitty. Touted to be a horror comedy, the film is directed by Naganna. A major portion of the film has been shot at a house in Sri Lanka with some portions in Mysuru and Bengaluru. It may be noted that Gimmick is Ganesh’s first attempt at trying a horror comedy and his fans are eagerly waiting to know the outcome.

The film is bankrolled by Deepak Sami under his banner Sami Pictures. Gimmick will mark Ronica Singh’s debut in the Kannada film industry. Also starring in supporting roles in this flick are Ravi Shankar Gowda, Sadhu Kokila, Shobhraj, Sunderaj. The technical crew comprises Arjun Janya for scoring music and Ravi Varma for choreographing the stunts.
