In what is being described as a strategic move by Nintendo, the company has at once raised the expectations of their Nintendo Switch customers by announcing the development of an all new Pokémon game for the device, which will be released to the market only in the next year, 2018.

The reason observers are saying this is a wise decision is there are already some exciting games the customers of Nintendo are enjoying right now and through the rest of the year they will be getting more. Making an announcement now and actually releasing next year, therefore, makes sense.

Another reason for a lot of appreciation on this announcement is that some of the top games from the company have been made available on the premium device Nintendo 3DS and not on the Switch.

Now that this new RPG Pokémon will be developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch it has brought smiles back on the gaming enthusiasts’ faces. There are, of course, some who believe this game is the same Pokémon Stars about which a lot have been speculated upon for some time. But that is yet to be clarified/ascertained.

But the fact that the company and the developer have thought it fit to bring the pureplay Pokémon game instead of the adaptations received so far, has, by itself, been welcomed by many. It is also expected that Game Freak may not tinker much with the basic ingredients, like the routes, the cities and the art style and others of the Pokémon series games witnessed so far.

Further details about the game’s design and other gameplay situations have not been revealed yet. Some of the other popular games available in 2017 include, Arms, Splatoon 2 and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, among others.

The E3 event this year has seen some companies showcasing their new gaming devices and others new games. But the overall experience for those who attended E3 2017 must have been quite exciting.
