A 50-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping an 8-year-old for three days at Hussaini Alam in Hyderabad.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Mohammad Siraj a resident of Fateh Darwaza was sexually assaulting the 8-year -old from his neighborhood by luring her with money and chocolates.
The police is trying to find out whether he had targeted other minor girls in his neighborhood.
The mother was shocked when she came to know about this incident three days ago. She immediately lodged a complaint against Siraj at Hussaini Alam Police station. The doctors at the Government Maternity Hospital confirmed that the girl was raped.
Siraj is unmarried and works as a blacksmith.
On Friday, the police arrested Siraj and during the police interrogation he had confessed his heinous crime. He also confessed that he took advantage of the girl when she came to his house alone, reported DC.
An officer from Hussaini Alam Police, told DC “On December 31, Siraj lured the girl by giving her money and chocolates. Since she lives in the neighborhood, she went to his home. He took the girl home again for the next two days. In the beginning, he fondled her and the girl did not know what was going on. Later he raped her, after which the girl stopped going to his house,”.
K. Ashok Chakravarthy, assistant commissioner of police, Charminar, said “Her mother found her brooding over something. On Wednesday, the mother asked her what had happened. The victim then told her what Sajid had done to her.”
