The News Minute| December 2, 2014| 3.37 pm ISTA photo of a young a black boy hugging a white police officer as tears stream down his face during a peace protest in Portland, Oregan, has gone viral as a picture depicting peace and brotherhood. CNN reports that the photo shows Devonte Hart, a young black boy was holding a sign offering free hugs at the peaceful protest regarding the Ferguson incident where a black teenager was shot by a policeman. As at any public gathering, police personnel were present at stand-by capacity to ensure the protesters' safety. The photographer, Johnny Ngyuen, caught the hug just in time and took a photo of it. It was first published in The Oregonian and was later shared over 150,000 times as "the hug shared around the world".  The police officer, Sgt. Bret Barnum, said that he was really happy that the photo was clicked and shared as it acts as a sign of peace in such troubled times.
