A video song from Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming film Role Models has gone viral for one reason. Ever since the song Thechille Penne was released online, music buffs took to it in a big way because the word ‘Teppu’ was new to many. BK Harinarayanan has penned the song which has been composed by Gopi Sunder. The number was rendered jointly by Gopi Sunder and Niranj Suresh.

'Teppu' means 'cheating', explains a source close to the Role Models film crew. The song is about the hero’s anguish on being cheated by his girlfriend. Thechille Penne was filmed with Fahadh Faasil and Namitha Pramod and it also features Vinay Forrt, Vinayakan and Sharafudeen.

The film was shot in various locations in Goa and Dubai. The comedy movie has been written and directed by Rafi with Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, Srinda Arhaan, Namitha Pramod, Sharafudheen, Rohini, Seetha, Vinay Forrt, Renji Panicker, and Suraj Venjarammood included in the star cast.

Speaking about her role in the film, Srinda had said in an interview to the Times of India earlier, “I play a tomboy named Christy and she is Fahadh's girlfriend and also his college mate. I am on cloud nine! It's a very interesting character. Christy has some specific mannerisms, for instance, she has a scarf tied on her right wrist all the time. She fights with everyone she encounters and is always ready to throw a punch.”

Shamdat Sainudheen, who had cranked the camera for Role Models, had recalled his rapport with director Rafi in an interview to Deccan Chronicle:”It was while working with his brother Shafi's Make Up Man that I became close to Raffi ikka. He was then shooting his multi-starrer China Town at Ramoji Film City, where Make Up Man was also being filmed. He called me for the clashworks of China Town and his first independent project Ring Master. Role Models will be my first 'complete' film with him.”
