The News Minute | September 23, 2014 | 5.00 pm ISTIn the Payyanur taluk hospital in Kannur, Kerala someone clicked photos and took video of a lady delivering triplets in July and the pictures had gone viral on Whatsapp. It was only on Sunday, after two months, that the lady in the video got to see it and she lodged a complaint in the police station. She said that it was her delivery video that was being circulated and that the video was taken without her consent. The same day the hospital in Kannur district witnessed a lot of protests. The investigation by the district medical officer has been done and the report has come out. District Medical Officer Dr. Reena has written in her report that three doctors were found to be at fault. To find out as to who actually videographed the birthing she has sought help from the Cyber Cell of the Kerala Police, reports Reporter Live.Further, she has asked for a detailed investigation into the matter and has recommended strict action against those at fault.The doctors Sunil Kumar, Madhu and Manoj Kumar had been asked by the DMO to give their statements by 11 AM on Tuesday. The three did not do so and hence their arguments have not been published in the report. The report says that the three doctors are at fault. The report says that in the investigation that the DMO had conducted on Monday, she had received statements from other hospital staff that the three were at fault. Democratic Women’s Association marched to the DMO’s office demanding that the doctors be suspended.
