The News Minute | December 31, 2014 | 9:45 am IST The common Governor of Telangana and AP, E.S.L Narasimhan on Tuesday met with AP HRD minister Ganta Srinivas Rao and Telangana Education minister G Jagadish Reddy to discuss the conflicts the two states face with regard to the schedule for the Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. (EAMCET) According to a report in The Hindu, the governor has supposedly told the two ministers that the conduct of the EAMCET would be guided by the AP Reorganization Act and not the individual opinions of both the state governments. The governor also asked them to discuss the issue among themselves and the chief ministers of both the states before coming to an understanding, the ultimate aim being that the students have to be benefited. The announcement of two different set of dates earlier, had led to much confusion among the students and parents. The uncertainty was more among the medical stream aspirants as seats are limited and they feared unequal distribution between the states.
