Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman seems to have a strong penchant for the number 369 just like his superstar dad Mammootty. While all of Mammootty’s vehicles have the same number – 369 – Dulquer is also following the same tradition.
The star had reportedly sought the number for his brand new Volkswagen Polo but had to fight it out at an auction conducted at the Ernakulam RTO. With two other people also vying for the same number plate KL 07 CN 369, it was set for auction after all three coughed up a deposit of Rs 3000. Eventually, Dulquer’s representative managed to snag the number by making the final bid of Rs 30,000.
Incidentally, for his Rs 6-lakh luxury bike, a Triumph Bonneville, Dulquer managed to get the number plate of KL 07 CC9369 while his Pajero sports car number bears the number KL 07 BX 369.
On the work front, the star is busy with various projects including the multi-lingual Mahanati, in which he plays the legendary hero, ‘Kadhal Mannan’ Gemini Ganesan. Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actor Savitiri, will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam simultaneously. While his Solo has gone into the post production mode, Dulquer also has a couple of Tamil movies in his kitty.
Dulquer’s previous release, Comrade in America, directed by Amal Neerad, did good business at the box office and managed to withstand stiff competition posed by the magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion that released a week prior to CIA.
The star made his debut with Second Show in 2012 and since then has carved a niche for himself by churning out one hit after another.
