The question has finally been answered – Saying bomb on a plane or anywhere in an airport is not such a good idea for anyone hoping to take flight out.

One doctor learnt the lesson the hard way when he jokingly uttered the forbidden word to his security officer at the Miami International airport, reported AFP.

Before boarding the flight, when asked routine questions by an officer, Venezuelan doctor, Manuel Alvarado , 60, replied saying that he was carrying C-40 explosives.

Even though he said that he was only joking, airport authorities did not find the statement funny leading to a fine being dropped on the doctor.

According to the report, his ‘momentary lapse of reason’ while making the statements will cost him $89,172.

One costly joke, that one.
