The Banjara Hills Police in Hyderabad booked Tollywood film director Ajay Koundinya on Wednesday, after he made vulgar remarks against actor-politician and YSRCP MLA Roja, during a recent event.

The comments were made during a movie's audio release function in Hyderabad.

“The complainant alleged that the accused, Ajay Koundinya, made highly objectionable remarks against women at audio release function of Telugu movie, 'NH 47 Bhoot Bangla', organised at Film Chambers in Banjara Hills on January 26,” Banjara Hills inspector K Srinivas told ToI.

After watching the video of his speech on YouTube, the police registered a case under Sections 354 (Sexual harassment) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.

Earlier this week, in a video that did the rounds, the director was seen attacking Roja with vulgar language.

The speech begins with the director, speaking about problems faced by the technicians and artists in the Telugu film industry.

Stating that YSRCP legislator Roja, who spoke to the media on almost every topic, was silent on the issues plaguing the film industry, Koundinya said, "If even one politician gets caught in a controversy, all leaders will come forward to support them, but similarly, Roja has not been able to do anything when there was a drug bust in Tollywood."

Koundinya also suggested that it would have been 'super' if RGV had directed Roja in the film.

He then went on to add,"If Roja accepts, like Ram Gopal Varma made God, Sex and Truth with foreign actress Mia Malkova, I'm willing to make God, Sex and Truth, part 2, with Roja."

Ever since Ram Gopal Varma, released the trailer of God, Sex and Truth, which he directed with American porn star Mia Malkova, many have protested the ‘nude’ scenes in the film. The film was shot with Malkova in Europe.
