There have been reports that Samantha Akkineni had declined an offer to star in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming multi-starrer RRR. On enquiring about this, sources close the actor denied it outright. The sources said that Samantha would grab such an offer if offered to her, but no one has approached her till date. Recently there were reports doing the rounds that the popular actor has decided to quit acting but this was also denied by her as baseless rumours.

With the latest rumours about SS Rajamouli’s film RRR and the actor’s denial to be a part of it termed as baseless, Samantha’s fans hope that she is going to be a part of the project. Interestingly, Samantha and SS Rajamouli had worked together in the bilingual Eega / Naan Ee some years ago and the film had gone on to become a huge hit.

RRR is one of the most prestigious projects in the Telugu film industry right now. The film has Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja playing the lead roles and the director is yet to rope in the heroines. With the film having two heroes, it is highly likely that there may be two or three heroines featured in the movie. And reports indicate there is a stiff competition among the top heroines to be a part of the project. However, no one has been signed as of now.

While SS Rajamouli is busy with the groundwork to get the film on the floors in October this year, both Jr NTR as well as Ram Charan are busy with their respective films with directors Trivikram Srinivas and Boyapati Srinivas.

The film, with the working title RRR, is scheduled for release on Sankranthi 2020. The director is expected to announce the star cast and crew of the film officially very soon.
