The Gautham Menon directorial, Dhruva Natchathiram went on the floors earlier this year after a lot of speculation over its commencement. The film has Vikram playing the lead with Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma as the leading ladies.
The film, being a spy thriller, has a long list of actors added to the star cast and the latest additions to the team are the veteran actor Radhika Sarath Kumar, TV host Divyadarshini aka DD, dancer Sathish and yesteryear heroine Simran. The Dhruva Natchathiram team is currently busy with the shooting in Bulgaria. Others in the star cast of this magnum opus include Maya Sundarakrishnan, Preethi Nedumaran, Sathish Krishnan, Vamsi Krishna and Munna Simon with R Parthipan in a crucial role.
Dhruva Natchathiram is produced jointly by Gautham Menon, Venkat Somasundaram, Reshma Ghatala, Senthil Veeraasamy and P Madan under the banners Ondraga Entertainment and Kondaduvom Entertainment. Harris Jayaraj is composing music for this venture with Manoj Paramahansa, Santhana Krishnan, Ravichandran and Jomon T John roped in for cranking the camera and Praveen Anthony taking care of the editing.
Director Gautham Menon shot the teaser of the film in New York some months ago and later flew down to Coonoor for the first schedule. After canning some important portions in Chennai, the team took a flight to Bulgaria where it is currently stationed.
The teaser of the film, which was released a few months ago, turned out to be a huge hit among the netizens, clocking 1.6 million views in less than 24 hours. With the shooting going on at breakneck speed, there are reports of the film being released in August this year. However, there is no confirmation on that yet. It may be mentioned that Vikram and Gautham Menon are collaborating for the first time and fans just can’t wait to see what is in store for them this time around.
