The News Minute | August 28, 2014 | 10.50 am ISTA day after she filed a case of rape and cheating against Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda’s on Karthik Gowda, Maitreya has performed a special pooja in his name.According to a report telecast by Suvarna News 24x7, actor Maitreya performed a special pooja in Karthik’s name at a temple in Bangalore.Maitreya has alleged that Karthik married her in his house in Mangalore in June, and learned of his engagement on Wednesday to another woman through media reports. The same day, she spoke to a Kannada news channel alleging that Karthik had married her in June, as he wanted to have a physical relationship with her and she refused unless they were married.Later that evening, she filed a complaint with the RT Nagar Police in Bangalore. On Thursday, she told a Kannada television news channel that all she wanted was for Karthik's parents to accept her as their daughter-in-law. The central government has reportedly asked Gowda to provide information about the allegations against his son.Read: Rape and cheating case filed against Union Railway minister Sadananda Gowda's sonResponding to Maithreyi Gowda’s allegations, the Minister said that the there was a conspiracy against him and that the allegations made by Maithreyi were false.
