Sandalwood star Darshan has appeared in cameo roles in several films in the past as a goodwill gesture for his friends. All the films in which he had made guest appearances have done well, following which offers always pour in for the star to consider doing it again. Darshan is known to share a good rapport with several actors in tinsel town so much so that he does not refuse any of the requests.

Recently, the star was offered a small role in Inspector Vikram, which has his good friend Prajwal Devaraj in the lead role. When the makers of the film approached the star with the offer, he immediately agreed to hop on board, say sources. We hear that the director etched out the role for Darshan only after he gave his go ahead.

Inspector Vikram is being directed by Narasimha and bankrolled by Vikyath. The film has Bhavana playing the lead opposite Prajwal and will be seen as a drug peddler. Charan Raj is the music composer for this flick with Naveen Kumar handling the camera. The shooting for the film commenced early this year with the makers planning to release it later this year.

It may be mentioned here that Darshan has appeared in guest roles in films such as Jothe Jotheyali, Arasu, Mumtaz and Chowka.

A busy hero himself, Darshan is currently expecting the release of Kurukshetra, a magnum opus made on a huge budget by ace producer Muni Ratna under his banner KCN Movies. The film is directed by Naganna and has a bevy of stars in the cast, including Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, Nikhil Kumar and others. The film, currently in post-production mode, is expected to be released soon. Darshan is now busy on the sets of Yajamana, which is directed by Pon Kumaran.
