Coolpad has launched three new smartphones Mega 5, Mega 5M and Mega 5C. Interestingly when the whole market is going the online route, Coolpad has taken the offline only route to sell all of its phones.
Coming to the specifications of the three devices, Coolpad Mega 5 sports a 5.7-inch full vision 18:9, HD+ display. The main processor is the quad core MediaTek MT6739SoC. The processor get support from 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. Android Oreo, version 8.1 is the OS. As for the optics section, a 13 MP + 0.3 MP dual rear camera and 5 MP front sensor for selfies are fitted. The Coolpad Mega 5 comes with a 3000mAh battery, finger print sensor on back and face unlock feature. A microSD card slot besides the 2 dedicated SIM slots round off the specs of this phone.
Coolpad Mega 5C has a lower 5.45-inch full vision, HD+ display and the processor is a quad core 1.3 GHz chipset. RAM on this phone is just 1GB and the internal memory 16GB. The same Android OS Oreo, version 8 runs this device as well. This is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. As for the cameras, identical 5 MP sensors are fitted in the rear as well as the front. The Coolplad Mega 5C hosts a 2500mAh battery under the hood. The phone comes with a face unlock feature.
The lowest end device among the three is the Coolpad Mega 5M. The display size is 5 inches. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad core processor. The RAM in this phone is 1GB and the onboard storage 16GB. It can be taken to 32GB through a microSD card. A 5MP rear camera and a 2 MP sensor in the front are fitted. The battery is 2000mAh.
Now the pricing of these three phones. Obviously, Coolpad has fixed the prices in the same order, the Mega 5 at Rs 6,999, the Mega 5C at Rs 4,499 and the Mega 5M at Rs 3,999.
