According to a report in The Times of India, the Cubbon Park police registered a case against the principal under non-cognizable sections of the Indian Penal Code. This means that the accused cannot be arrested without a warrant. According to the complaint, the principal entered the class of the boy on Tuesday, and pointed him out and began to slap him. The father said in the complaint that his son was bleeding from the nose when he came home.
