Vikram’s son Dhruv is all set to make his acting debut soon. The youngster has been roped in by director Bala to reprise the role done by Vijay Devarakonda in the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The Tamil version has been titled Varma.

While the film buffs just can’t wait to see the young star kid in action, here is an exciting news for the wannabe heroines. Yes, there is a casting call from the makers of this remake.

Vikram has posted a video on a social networking page that the Varma team is looking for a suitable heroine and how Varma's lady love should be.  In the background of the video, Shruti Hassan has rendered and Vikram thanked her for lending her voice.

His message reads: “And.. SHE IS MISSING. If you are her or anyone who looks like her, send your pics or videos to varmathemovie@gmail.com. Can’t wait to meet you. Take your time, but hurry."

Producing this black age comedy is Mukesh Ratilal Mehta under the banner E4 Entertainment with ace director Bala wielding the megaphone. The shooting of Varma would begin as soon as Bala is done with the shooting of the Jyothika starrer Nachaiyar, say sources.

Meanwhile, the groundwork to take it on to the floors has begun. Interestingly, this would be Bala’s first ever remake in his long and illustrious career.
Arjun Reddy was one of the biggest hits this year. The film was made on a budget of Rs 5 crore and it went on to rake in Rs 51 crores at the box office. 

Written and Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film starred Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
