The News Minute| August 16, 2014|  Mark Zuckerberg recently challenged Bill Gates to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Not only did Bill Gates complete the challenge, but he designed and made a contraption for pouring the bucket of ice water on himself. The ALS ice bucket challenge was introduced to spread awareness about the disease and also raise funds for the ALS Association. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Association describes ALS as a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Bill Gates is seen watching Mark Zuckerberg video nominating three other people for the challenge- Bill Gates, former Chief Executive, Microsoft, Sheryl Sandberg, COO Facebook, and Reed Hastings, CEO, Netflix. I want to do it better, than it’s been done.”  He is then seen drawing a design of the contraption and working on creating the contraption himself. And when Bill Gates posted his video on Facebook, Mark Zucherberg was quick to reply.
