After receiving backlash following the elimination round during the weekend episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 2, host and actor Nani wrote a note to his fans on Tuesday, which he posted to Twitter. Viewers lashed out at the actor for being biased towards certain contestants in the house.

After Nutan Naidu and Ganesh were eliminated in the weekend episode, fans alleged that he was Nani was biased, and that his comments favoured Kaushal and Geetha Madhuri. In his note, Nani said he was making a statement despite the Bigg Boss team telling him that he didn’t need to respond.

“You need to know you all watch from your point of view and want your favourite housemate to be treated especially every single time and I shouldn’t be doing that as a host and give everyone an equal chance from my side,” the actor wrote.

Nani further said that since every viewer had his/her favourite housemate, another contestant getting a fair opportunity might make viewers feel that the host is partial towards the latter.

“But trust me everyone single one in there is equal to me and we all know that the best one will win in the end with your support,” the note read.

The actor also said that he has no say in the matter of voting and elimination and everything he does is to give the audience the best. Nani also made it clear that whatever is said and done, it will only make him do better instead of pulling him down.

In the 12th week of the show, five housemates — Ganesh, Nutan Naidu, Kaushal, Amit Tiwari and Samrat Reddy — were nominated for the elimination. Not one, but two contestants got eliminated from the show in that episode. Ganesh walked out of the house on Saturday, and Nutan Naidu followed on Sunday.

The ‘Kaushal army’ has been questioning Nani and Star Maa about how Nutan got evicted, despite getting a huge amount of votes. They took to social media to show how Nutan was eliminated from the show despite getting the second-highest number of votes.

With just 15 days left for the show to conclude, the controversies may increase as there are just seven contestants remaining in the house —  Amit, Samrat, Tanish, Shyamala, Geetha, Deepthi and Kaushal.
