Two students and a school bus driver suffered minor injuries after their bus rammed into the compound wall of the school in Bengaluru on Thursday morning.

The school authorities said that the bus carrying 40 children was being driven rashly, however they confirmed the driver was not inebriated. The front portion of the vehicle was badly damaged.

According to police, the accident happened around 8 am. Bus no. 5 of the school fleet crashed into the compound wall. The two injured students, identified as Ashwin and Vibha, were treated at Columbia Asia Hospital, reported BM.

The driver of the bus, Venkatesh, was booked for rash driving.

Manju Balasubramanyam, principal of Delhi Public School, assured that all the children were safe. The school activities went on as usual with the remaining children, reported the newspaper.
