The News Minute| June 12, 2014| A video of the the tragedy that struck at Beas river in Himachal Pradesh in which 24 students and one tour operator were washed away by the surging waters surfaced on Wednesday. One look at YouTube trends and its evident that most people are watching the video. Out of the top 10 videos trending in India, five videos are the same- the Beas tragedy. The video was captured by a wedding photographer who was in Shalana village to film a wedding. The 4 minute 30 second clipping has been put on YouTube by different ids including news channels and others. The video uploaded by Amarujala news that broke the story has already got more than 7,00,000 hits.The parents of the students who have died in the tragedy have requested news channels not to to telecast the video.
