The magnum opus Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has already shattered a number of box-office records.

Since the release of the second episode of Baahubali series, several Tollywood and Kollywood celebrities have lauded filmmaker SS Rajamouli and team to make something like Baahubali possible.

Now legendary actor Kamal Haasan has praised the film and the team, for its magnificent business records.

Speaking about Baahubali 2, Kamal Haasan told The Hindu, "It’s the best thing that could have happened to the film industry, financially speaking. They’ve worked hard for it. But when they say that we can beat Hollywood, I’d say hold your horses. That’s because these are CG (computer graphics) horses.”

He went on to say, "It (Baahubali) also proves that we have a great culture and also the best stories here. But, then they say we have 2,000 years of culture. There, I'd like to intervene. We are not 2,000 years old, we're 70. Don't hark on Chandragupta Maurya or Ashoka; they are not my forefathers. They are so far back in the past that we cannot emulate or interpret (their stories) in modern life. But we are trying to - we are grappling between the past and the present, slipping and slithering."

The actor's long pending Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu are likely to hit the silver screens this year and Kamal is in the process of reviving his dream project, Maruthanayagam which was shelved several years ago due to financial issues.
