SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 has taken the box office by storm and is surging ahead as far its collections are concerned. The film has already crossed Rs 450 crore worldwide as per a report by Devarsi Ghosh in India Today.

The film’s Hindi version has garnered Rs 128 crore inside three days of its release, a fact which was acknowledged by producer Karan Johar and trade analyst Taran Adarsh. 

The film’s overseas collections over the weekend stood at Rs 121 crore as per a Times of India report by Shriya Thakur.

With a screening in 9,000 theatres worldwide and 6,500 in India alone, the scale of the film’s release has been unprecedented.

The second part of the film has piqued the curiosity of film buffs who have been thronging to the cinema halls to know the answer to the one question on their lips, ‘Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?

The spectacular special effects and visual grandeur have contributed majorly to the film’s appeal.

Baahubali 2- The Conclusion has reportedly been made on a budget of around Rs 250 crore and together with the first part, is the most expensive film ever made in India. The film has been released in four languages across India viz. Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

The first part had grossed over Rs 650 crore worldwide.
