Michael Brown, a black teenager who was killed by a police officer in Ferguson was shot at least six times, including twice in the head.

The New York Times has accessed a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday which says that, ‘One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury.’

The autopsy reveals that Brown was shot at four times on his arm and the bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range.

The US Justice department is all set to conduct its own autopsy even as protests increase in Ferguson and other areas. The Governor has given permission for the National Guard to move in as police struggle to quell protests.

Benjamin L. Crump, a lawyer for Mr. Brown’s family told New York Times, “The sheer number of bullets and the way they were scattered all over his body showed this police officer had a brazen disregard for the very people he was supposed to protect in that community.”

Eighteen year old Michael Brown was shot dead on August 9 by Ferguson police as he was walking home from a convenience store with a friend.

Brown’s death has been shrouded in many controversies with the police claiming he was wanted in a store robbery case just before the fatal shooting, later police clarified that the officer who shot Brown down did not know about the robbery.

This is a video posted on You Tube, visuals showing a dead Brown lying on the street and includes some eye witness accounts.
