Last seen playing a rogue entrepreneur in Bhaskar Oru Rascal, actor Arvind Swami joins hands with Regina Cassandra for a yet-untitled Tamil thriller, to be directed by Rajapandi of Achamindri fame.

Talking to Times of India, Rajapandi said Regina’s character in the film will be highly spoken about. “We wanted a performer and someone's who is very fit. Regina is one of the fittest actors we have in the industry today. When I met her for the narration, we discussed for nearly an hour and a half. She loved the story, but she wanted to get more clarity on how her role be approached since it is different. But she got convinced; she immediately agreed to come on board.”

Rajapandi assures the film won’t be a regular hero-heroine story. The team wanted a fresh actor opposite Arvind Swami and Regina was best suited for it. 70 percent of the film will be shot in Chennai and the action sequences will be shot elsewhere.

A major set is being erected in AVM studios where predominant portions of the film will be shot. The film marks the first time pairing of Arvind Swami and Regina.

As Arvind gears up to commence work on this project, he awaits the release of three Tamil films. His long delayed crime comedy Sathuranga Vettai 2 is gearing up for a September release, according to a poster released by the makers earlier this week.

He also has Naragasooran, in which he has shared screen space with Shriya, Sundeep Kishan and Indrajith Sukumaran. Arvind will also be seen sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Arjun Vijay in Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
