Apple’s new set of smartwatches are now out. The highlight of these watches is that they are LTE compatible and Apple has come up with an e-SIM that does away with the need for a physical SIM to be fixed inside the devices. This also means that the presence of a phone in the vicinity for the watch to function is not required either.

For Apple, these Series 3 watches are its first cellular connectivity watches. But not all operators may be offering these watches. As of today, only Reliance Jio and Airtel appear to be ready with the devices and the service. Maybe the others will follow soon.

Apple has released these watches in 3 variants and each variant can be bought in 2 dial sizes, 38mm and 42mm. These are the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular+ GPS, Apple Watch Nike+ and the high-end Apple Watch Edition.

All three variants can be ordered through Airtel and Reliance Jio, both. Each company has its own procedure for taking the bookings. Airtel seems to have a better and easier method, while with Jio, it might take a longer route.

Now, the pricing of these watches: The Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular+ GPS can be owned on a payment of Rs 39,080 and Rs 41,120 for the 38mm and 42mm dials respectively.

The Apple Watch Nike+ bears price tag of Rs 39,120 and the most expensive are the Apple Watch Edition for Rs 1,18,030 for the 38mm size and Rs 1,22,090 for the 42mm size.

The advantage that the buyers of these smartwatches from Apple can enjoy is that the two service providers, Reliance Jio and Airtel won’t be charging them anything for the extra data that may get consumed by the Apple Watch as long as the customer already has a relationship under specified data plans. Customers in the US pay $10 per month more in such cases.
