The Telangana Rashtra Samithi party on Saturday accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of exploiting their police intelligence and using them to distribute cash in the poll-bound Telangana state.

Addressing the media, Minister of IT, KT Rama Rao alleged that the Andhra Pradesh police is using its intelligence to carryout election survey and also shield TDP politicians who are ferrying cash.

Earlier in the day, the TRS leaders also approached the Election Commission with the photos and details of three police personnel who were caught at TRS election campaigns and filed a complaint that the Andhra Pradesh police is using its force to influence the elections in Telangana.

After bifurcation of the state, though several offices including the secretariat were shifted to Andhra Pradesh, the AP DGP office continues to function from Hyderabad. As per AP Reorganization Act, they are entitled to work from Hyderabad for a period of 10 years, but TRS leaders are accusing the AP DGP office of snooping on their activities.

KTR said that the Election Commission should consider the issue seriously and take strict action. He also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is violating the Model Code of Conduct, through his government advertisements on TV and newspapers.

“Crores of Andhra Pradesh public money is wasted and spent here. While we are not allowed to do campaigns, the TDP, which is contesting in the elections, is allowed to publicise. The Election Commission should intervene and stop this,” KTR said.

KTR further alleged that Naidu had a Rs 500 crore deal with Congress President Rahul Gandhi, and that he has been smuggling that money into the state through police vehicles and ambulances for the elections.

He said that the Election Commission should check vehicles of all the political leaders irrespective of their political party and particularly the vehicles of Uttam Kumar Reddy and Telangana TDP president L Ramana as they are ‘repeat offenders.’

“In previous elections, burnt cash of Rs 3 crore was found in Uttam Reddy’s car,” he alleged.

KTR warned that if Naidu continues exploiting the AP police to influence the election, the TRS would not be responsible for the dangerous outcome.
