Anushka Shetty has just wrapped up the shooting of her upcoming release Bhagmati. She shares screen space with Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in the movie along with Jayaram, Adhi Pinisetty, and Asha Sharath. Anushka, upbeat over working in the project, has some special words of praise for her co-star Unni Mukundan. Lauding him for his simplicity and talent, Anushka has wished him well in everything he does.
She went on to write about Unni Mukundan on a social networking site thus: “Tail end of Bhagmati.... thank you Unni for being such a wonderful co star, friend, your simplicity, talent and the person you are will always make you stand out...Wish you happiness and success in all that you do always forever... looking forward for more ”
Directed by G Ashok, the film is produced by Pramod and V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy under the banner UV Creations. S Thaman is composing music for this flick. Touted to be a thriller, Bhagmati is a bilingual being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Unni Mukundan forayed into the Telugu film industry with the Jr NTR and Mohanlal starrer Janatha Garage last year and Bhagmati will be his second outing in Tollywood.
Clarifying that Bhagmati is not a period flick based on the Hyderabad queen, the film’s director G Ashok had said in an interview earlier, “I have taken the plot from real life characters; it is not a historical drama, but a modern day thriller. Anushka has drastically pulled down and will be looking glamorous as well as demure in the movie. People will be able to relate to all the characters in the film.”
With the film’s shooting wrapped up, the team is getting ready for a big release on August 11th worldwide.
