Alaska based channel KTVA News’s news anchor Charlo Greene on Sunday quit her job, on air. In a video that has been doing the rounds since Sunday, Greene reveals that she is the owner of the medical marijuana business club- Alaska Cannabis Club.

Greene says she will be fighting for the cause of legalizing marijuana from now on. After revealing this bit of information, Greene then says on air- “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f*** it, I quit” and walks out of the camera.

The international media quoted Greene and said that the channel had no idea that the anchor was going to quit on air or that she was the owner of the club. On Monday, KTVA News also put out a tweet apologizing for “the inappropriate language used” by its employee and informed its followers that the employee has been terminated.

Alaska Cannabis Club is described by Greene as Alaska’s only legal medical marijuana resource. She also told Anchorage Daily News that she quit on air only to draw more attention into the issue. Greene has also started a campaign – Indiegogo campaign for cannabis reform.

In November, the people of Alaska through vote will decide whether they will be the third state in the United States of America to legalize the recreational use of marijuana following the path of Washington and Colorado.
