
Amid heavy competition from film-makers to direct Rajini’s next film, the ‘golden offer’ has fallen on the lap of Karthik Subbaraj. It was recently announced that Super Star Rajinikanth will be teaming up with young director Karthik Subbaraj of Pizza and Jigarthanda fame, which will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures Kalanithi Maran.
Now its is officially confirmed that Anirudh Ravichander is all set to compose music for the next film untitled flick. The young composer who debuted in Tollywood recently and has been on a roll with his recently chartbusters Velaikkaran and Thaana Serndha Kootam, said that the project was a dream come true . There is also speculation that Vijay Sethupathi has been approached to play the antagonist in the film. However, no official word is out yet.
As of now, Rajini has wrapped up shooting for both his films, with 2.0 being in post production stage which has been in the making now for more than two years, shows no signs of releasing in theatres, allowing Rajini to release his Pa. Ranjith-directed Kaala in theatres on 27th April.
Earlier, it was rumoured that Rajinikanth will team up with Pa Ranjith for a political film, which is touted to be his last film before he launches his political party. It was also reported that the Mersal director Atlee met Rajinikanth to narrate a script.
