Amy Jackson’s debut in the Kannada film industry has been confirmed. Ever since news about the Kannada movie The Villain surfaced, there has been a lot of speculation about its heroines. With two of the leading stars in the industry – Shivrajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep – playing the lead roles, movie buffs were eager to know with whom she would be paired. Finally, this doubt has been cleared by director Prem. He has made it clear that Amy Jackson will be Sudeep’s love-interest in the movie.
The star cast of this film comprises Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty along with Lavanya Tripathi and Sruthi Hariharan. The Villain’s official pooja happened on December 13th 2015 but the project went on to the floors only in early 2017. The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had flagged off the proceedings during the muhurat.
Director Prem has done a lot of research before getting The Villain on to the floors. Further, he waited patiently for nearly two years to get the call sheet of both Shivrajkumar and Sudeep, two of the busiest stars in Sandalwood. The Villain’s director Prem had planned a shooting schedule in London earlier this month but the terror attacks there forced him to shift the location.
The shooting is currently in progress in Bangkok and Amy has joined the sets, confirmed Prem. A few pics of the heroine on the sets along with the director have made it to the media, creating a lot of hype. Prem will be shooting scenes involving Amy during the Bangkok schedule, we hear. Meanwhile, Shivrajkumar is busy with his upcoming film Leader and will wrap up the shooting before heading to Bangkok to join The Villain unit.
Bankrolled by popular producer CR Manohar, the film will have music by Arjun Janya.
