Allu Arjun had acted as a hero in close to 20 films in his career and has been directed by debutants just twice so far.
While it was Sukumar who got an opportunity to direct him in Arya in 2004, he is now working with noted writer Vakkantham Vamsi, who is making his directorial debut with Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya.
The shooting of this film is progressing at a fast pace and the team is currently stationed in Ooty. The film is touted to be a summer release with the team planning on having it released on April 27 next year.
Touted to be a patriotic action entertainer, the film also has veteran actors R Sarath Kumar and Arjun Sarja in pivotal roles. It has been reported that Arjun Sarja will be seen playing the hero’s dad in Naa Peru Surya while Sarath Kumar will be seen as the main antagonist.
Anu Emmanuel plays the female lead in this film. Naa Peru Surya is produced jointly by Sirisha Lagadapati, Sridhar Lagadapati, Bunny Vasu and K. Nagendra Babu under the banner Ramalakshmi Cine Combines.
For his role as an army officer in Naa Peru Surya, Allu Arjun underwent rigorous training in the US for nearly a month. The actor is known for taking his roles seriously and gets into the skin of the character by doing a lot of groundwork before it commences. Music composer duo Vishal – Shekhar is composing the tunes for this flick.
Meanwhile, there is a buzz about Allu Arjun’s next. While reports are that he may go on to team up with director Lingusamy or Bobby aka KS Ravindra, we hear that he may give an opportunity to a newbie after he impressed the star with a romantic story.
