Jarkiholi, who on Tuesday sent his resignation as Excise Minister to the CM after reportedly being upset over being sidelined, met Siddaramaiah on Friday, reports The New Indian Express. The two leaders agreed to sort out their differences. The CM said he would give an additional portfolio to Jarkiholi, and also announce a special package for his Belagavi district in the budget, states the report. However, Jarkiholi may not be given an additional portfolio immediately as that could 'send out the signal that Siddaramaiah had acted under pressure. So teh portfolio will be given to the minister after the Assembly session', sources told The New Indian Express.
