Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (CCV), which went on the floors earlier this year, is on the verge of being completed. With the Chennai schedule which was wrapped up last week, Arvind Swami bid adieu to the project. He took to Twitter and wrote: “Just Finished my work in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. As always it was a privilege to work with Mani Sir, @santoshsivan, and the whole crew. #CCV will be special, can feel it.”

As per the latest update, the team of CCV will next shoot in Abu Dhabi, Dubai. According to the film’s costume designer Eka Lakhani, the team left for Dubai earlier this week. She took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote: “Team CCV all set for Dubai.”

After Arvind Swami and Arun Vijay, actor Aishwarya has completed the project. She wrote that it was an amazing experience to work with Mani Ratnam. “It's a wrap 4 me #CCV. Watta an amazing experience working with Mani sir. It's my dream come true. Thank u so much sir."

Featuring an ensemble cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Jyothika and Aditi Rao Hydari, the project is most likely to be wrapped up this month. Lensman Santosh Sivan, who has joined hands with Ratnam for the sixth time, has been sharing updates from the shoot at regular intervals over the last few weeks. The film, which will be dubbed and released in Telugu as Nawab, has music by A.R Rahman.

The project marks Ratnam’s first-time collaboration with actors such as Jyothika, Arun Vijay, Simbu and Vijay Sethupathi. Originally, the film was supposed to star Fahadh Faasil as one of the leads. Following the delay in the commencement of the project, he opted out and was eventually replaced by Arun Vijay, who has been working out hard in the gym for the project. Simbu, too, has shed weight to essay his role in the film.
