It’s going to be a busy year for Suriya as he currently has three projects in is kitty. Having begun work on Selvaraghavan’s NGK, he has confirmed he will team up with KV Anand next for an action thriller.
It is also confirmed that he will join hands with Irudhi Suttru director Sudha Kongara later this year. GV Prakash Kumar has been signed to compose music for this project with Sudha. In January this year, Suriya said he has a project each with directors Hari and Vikram Kumar.
Speaking about his project with Hari, he said in a media interaction in Hyderabad: “This won’t be another Singam project. I usually team up with Hari sir once in a couple or three years. I work with him on projects that help me expand my market. I still remember the time when we didn’t have the budget to do 7am Arivu as nobody was willing to bet on the film. A couple of months later, Singam first part released and turned out to be a blockbuster. The success of Singam earned me the license to do 7am Arivu. I need to do a film like Singam once in a while to experiment with projects such as 24.”
Apart from the Singam series, Suriya and Hari have worked together in Vel and Aaru. In his latest interview to Tamil magazine Vikatan, director Hari confirmed that he will team up with Suriya for a project after he wraps up Saamy Square.
Saamy Square reunites Vikram with Hari after a long hiatus. Vikram returns as the foul-mouthed cop Aarusaamy in the sequel, which also features Keerthy Suresh in the leading role. According to Sources, the entire project will be wrapped up by April.
The team hopes to bring the film to the cinema during Ramadan festival. The film as Bobby Simha is playing the negative role. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this film. The chartbuster song ‘Tirunelveli Halwa’ from the first part is getting recreated for a song and fight sequence in the second part.
