Trisha is on a journey of experimentation. Having signed a series of interesting projects in the last few months, she is no longer after the usual hero-centric films and is instead focusing on signing projects where she gets to play the solo lead. Apparently, in her next film Garjanai, a remake of the Anushka Sharma-starrer NH 10, she will be seen performing intense and realistic action. According to director Sundar Balu, she will undergo special stunt training.

Talking to the Times of India, he said: “Whatever you expect a hero to do in a film will be done by Trisha in this film. She will face situations which will eventually push her to get into the action mode. We have roped in fight master Supreme Sundar, who has done phenomenal work for films like Goli Soda and 10 Endrathukulla, to train Trisha. She plays a western dancer in the film, someone who can't perform stunts. So, we have kept the action sequences intense, but realistic. She will be performing the stunts on her own, without any body double."

The film’s shooting has commenced in Karaikudi, and it also stars Amit Bhargav as Trisha’s boyfriend. Apart from this project, Trisha will also shoot for Sathuranga Vettai 2, Saamy 2 and Mohini this year.
