Come October 3 and Abhishek Ambareesh will be ringing in his 26th birthday. But the young actor will not be celebrating it. In a message to his fans, Abhishek said that he is still mourning the death of his beloved father, veteran actor Rebel Star Ambareesh, who passed away earlier this year. Abhishek requested his fans to refrain from celebrating his birthday in a grand manner, asking them instead to plant saplings in remembrance of his late father.
Abhishek’s debut film, Amar, hit the marquee on May 31 this year amidst a lot of expectations. Directed by Nagashekar, Amar was bankrolled under the banner Sandesh Productions. Amar’s technical crew comprised Arjun Janya for composing music, Satya Hegde to crank the camera and Sania Sardhariya to design the costumes. The film had Tanya Hope playing the female lead. Darshan played a small cameo in this film, which turned out to be a major attraction for fans. There is also a song in the film that features Darshan.
It may be noted here that Rockline Venkatesh, one of the leading producers in the Kannada film industry, has signed Abhishek for his next project. The producer was keen on having the young actor on board so much so that the deal was struck even before the completion of Amar. Reports say that Abhishek was paid a whopping Rs 2 crore to star in the movie, which will be directed by Gurudatta Ganiga of Ambi Ning Vayassaytho fame.
It may be noted here that Abhishek made it to the headlines during the making of Amar when reports said that his pay packet for the film was Rs 1 crore. Recently, he created ripples among his fans by posting a new pic of himself in a different avatar. However, the actor did not mention if the transformation was for his upcoming film.
