The News Minute | March 1, 2015 | 9.45 pm IST  Kerala Aam Aadmi party has started an online signature campaign against state Finance Minister K M Mani presenting the 13th budget.  Mani, who has been accused of having taken bribes from bar owners and other businessmen of the state, has been receiving much criticism and the opposition is against him presenting the state budget. The signature campaign claims that there are allegations against Mani of manipulating the budget in favour of a business group after taking bribe. So the campaign urges to create public outcry against Mani presenting the coming budget. “There are allegations that K.M Mani had earlier manipulated budget in favour of Malabar Gold group after taking 19 crores from them. Now he is preparing for his next budget. Is he eligible to present? Please participate in this public opinion survey” says the campaign note. The notice has also declared that on March 2 there will be a public function to analyze the public opinion regarding this issue. The online campaign also provides option to chose the answer for the question; Is graft alleged KM Mani eligible to present the budget? Earlier CPI(M) leaders had declared that they will not be allowing Mani to present the budget. However in a press meet on January 27 Mani had clarified that he will be presenting his prestigious 13th budget.  I have a record of presenting the budget 12 times. My life is an open book. People know me very well for the past 50 years. I will be presenting my 13th budget," he told media. Tweet
