In yet another case of sexual assault against minors in the national capital, the police, on Sunday, arrested Ravi Kumar, a 42-year-old piano teacher accused of raping a seven-year-old girl for the past two months.
A case under Section 376 and the POCSO Act has been registered in a police station in south Delhi.
The parents of the victim registered the police complaint on Saturday after the victim underwent a medical test which confirmed rape.
According to media reports, the mother said that her child had recently become reluctant to go for piano classes at the house of the accused but did not tell her the real reason.
It was only on Saturday that the victim informed her father about her ordeal.
According to Delhi police website, 1489 cases of rape have been registered in the city till 31 August alone this year.
