The News Minute | November 6, 2014 | 09:20 pm IST 13 students of Sreenivas College in Mangaluru were allegedly asked to leave the classroom on Monday for wearing headscarves, states a report by Bangalore Mirror. On Wednesday again the students were not allowed to enter their classes wearing headscarves and their parents were called to the college. According to the principal of the college, students have to wear the prescribed uniform of which headscarves are not a part and this was made clear by college authorities during the time of admission. "We advised the parents not to look at the issue in communal terms. We have noticed that the problem with permitting students to wear headscarves is that earphones are misused", the principal told Bangalore Mirror. The issue has now been solved.
