It takes a lot of guts for an actress to say no to an offer to act alongside Vijay, but Jyotika is an exception and she knows what she’s doing. As people continue to wonder why the 36 Vayadhinile actress walked out of Vijay’s next film with director Atlee; she has surprised everybody by going ahead and signing a project with national award-winning filmmaker Bala. While the genre and other details of the project are yet to be known, what we do know for certain is that the project will roll from March 1, and it will be bankrolled by Bala’s B Studios.
The team is in talks with a leading actor to be paired with Jyotika on this project. Bala, on the other hand, was to start a multi-starrer project with Vishal, Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swami and Rana Daggubati, but the project failed to take off for reasons unknown. Hence, Bala is said to have moved on to this project which also stars writer-actor Vela Ramamoorthy in a crucial role. This will be the first time Jyotika will collaborate with Bala, who was instrumental in shaping the career of Suriya.
Jyotika, meanwhile, awaits the release of Magalir Mattum, in which she shares the screen space with veteran actors such as Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan.
