Heaping praises on Kangana for 'Queen', Manjima said that Kangana was outstanding and that she would live up to the standards set by her.

Manjima Mohan, who is playing the lead role in Zam Zam, remake of the blockbuster Bollywood flick Queen is currently in France shooting for the film. The actor posted a photo of herself on a social networking site expressing how she is enjoying the shoot there.

On bagging the role, Manjima said that she is excited over it and is working hard to do complete justice to the character that she is playing. Heaping praises on Kangana Ranaut for Queen, Manjima said that Kangana was outstanding and that she would live up to the standards set by her.

While Manjima plays the lead role in the Malayalam version, the film is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada as well.

In Tamil, the Queen remake is titled Paris Paris, where Kajal Agarwal is playing the lead.

In Telugu it is Tamannaah Bhatia, who will be helmed by National award-winning director Neelakanta.

The Kannada version titled Butterfly has Parul Yadav in the lead.

Queen, which was released in 2014, was a Vikas Bahl directorial. Apart from Kangana, the film also starred Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon in pivotal roles. Earlier, Amy Jackson was roped in to play Lisa Haydon's part from the original, but opted out of the project due to date issues. 

The film went on to win accolades with Kangana bagging the National Award for Best Actor (Female) and Best Feature Film in Hindi. It also won at the BIG Star Entertainment Awards, Filmfare, Global Indian Music Academy Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards, Mirchi Music Awards and Stardust.

Being a commercial as well as critically acclaimed film, there was a lot of competition to bag the remake rights in various languages. Zam Zam is touted to hit the marquee next year.
