Kannada stars Duniya Vijay and Ganesh made their acting debut almost around the same time and have carved a niche for themselves with several hits. Being thick friends, there was always a possibility of both the stars teaming up for a movie but it did not happen until now.
Well, the long wait to see the friends together on the silver screen has finally to come to an end as they have been signed up by director Preetham Gubbi for his next. Interestingly, both the actors share a good rapport with the director as they have worked with him earlier films.
Preetham Gubbi had directed Duniya Vijay in Johnny Mera Naam, Preethi Mera Kaam and are now working together in Johnny Johnny Yes Papa and he had wielded the megaphone for Ganesh’s Maleyali Jotheyali and Dil Rangeela.
Speaking about his upcoming film with the two stars, director Preetham had told the Times of India, “It is surprising how the two have not teamed up yet. It is 10 years since Mungaru Male and Duniya — the films that made them stars to watch out for. As expected, the film will be made on a huge canvas and will be a multi-starrer. We finalized everything earlier this week; the script will be challenging as both heroes have different images. While Vijay is a mass hero, Ganesh is more of a romantic one. The film will definitely have something for both sets of audiences. We plan to begin shoot in July 2018.”
Preetham Gubbi was a screenplay writer, who made his debut as director with Haage Summane in 2008 and has directed films such as Maleyali Jotheyali, Johny Mera Naam Preethi Mera Kaam, Jaanu, Nam Duniya Nam Style, Dil Rangeela, Boxer and Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi.
