The shooting of KGF: Chapter 2 is happening at a brisk pace. On the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, the first part of the film is getting re-released in 25 to 30 screens across Karnataka.

Announcing the news, the makers posted on Twitter, “#KGFChapter1 releases in around 25 to 30 screens on Nov1st for a day at few centres and for a week at few. The Yash starrer, which hit the silver screens on December 21, 2019, turned out to be a big hit. KGF was directed by Prashanth Neel, who had also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Released in five languages, including Kannada, the film has broken quite a few box-office records. It collected Rs 50 crore in its first 3 days at the box-office and reached Rs 100 crore in a week. Vijay Kiragandur bankrolled the project under his banner Hombale Films. The film has Yash playing the lead role and paired up opposite is Srinidhi Shetty as the heroine.

The second instalment has only gotten bigger with Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt joining the cast. He will be seen playing the role of Adheera. Another B-Town actor, Raveena Tandon, is also said to be part of the project. She will reportedly be playing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film, but an official confirmation on the same is not out yet.

The technical team comprised music director Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and art director Shivakumar. While Yash and Srinidhi Shetty play the lead pair in it, the rest of the star cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha. The film was narrated by Anant Nag. The same technical crew has been retained for the sequel as well.
