Xiaomi had priced these models quite competitively for the Indian market to compete with the likes of LG, Samsung and Sony.

Xiaomi was a relatively late entrant into the Indian television market, which has been dominated by LG and Samsung and Sony. However, the Chinese smartphone giant has been able to taste success in a short period, grossing 2 million pieces sold in just 15 months. The Mi range of televisions, which include Mi LED TV 4A PRO 43, Mi LED Smart TV 4A 43, Mi LED TV 4A PRO 32, and Mi LED TV 4C PRO 32. There are more models as well.

Xiaomi had priced these models quite competitively for the Indian market and that ensured the models were well received in the market. There are models, particularly in the 32-inch size that could be purchased only by making an advance registration at the Mi Stores.

The reason for this popularity of the Mi TVs is that they are seen as more value for money. These are smart TVs with a user interface that is called PatchWall and plenty of other features which may be available on the other brand televisions as well, but are priced much higher. The other quality aspects are the same. In lot many cases, the word of mouth factor worked very well. The fence sitters then took the decision to go ahead and buy the televisions. After that there was no stopping Mi and now, they are celebrating the 2 million televisions sale.  

The company says the IDC Smart Home Device Tracker Report for Q2, Q3 and Q4 2018 ranks Xiaomi Mi televisions as the No. 1 smart TV brand in India.

Mi LED TV 4A PRO 43 and Mi LED TV 4 PRO 55 are currently being sold for Rs 21,999 and Rs 44,999 respectively on Mi.com, Mi Homes and Flipkart.

Interestingly, Xiaomi’s main smartphone business too has been seeing immense success with beating Samsung nearly every quarter as the most sold smartphone brand.
