Actor Naga Chaitanya has finally admitted that he’s in a relationship with fellow actor Samantha and that they are planning to get married next year. During a media interaction when promoting his latest release "Premam" in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Chaitanya opened up about Samantha, and confirmed speculations about their relationship. Although it didn’t come as a surprise to many, especially the actor’s fans, the rumour-mongers can finally be at peace.
“I’m a private person and that’s why I never chose to speak about this (his relationship) in public. My friends have known about it for a long time. When the time was right, we told our families and we plan to get married next year,” said Chaitanya, adding that the date for the wedding is yet to be finalized. Asked about his father, superstar Nagarjuna’s, reaction to their relationship, he said, “When I told my father, he looked at me and said, ‘I’ve known this for a long time’. We are happy that our families have been very supportive of our decision.”
Chaitanya also made it clear that he won’t stop Samantha from acting post wedding. “It’s her life and career. I will never tell her what she should and shouldn’t do. I’m proud of her growth because she achieved everything with sheer talent. I have had a lot of family support along the way to reach where I’m today. She will continue acting even after marriage.”
