Woman constable in Madurai commits suicide over family quarrel

After frequent quarrels with her husband, the woman T Karupayee, aged 30, called up one of her colleagues before committing suicide, reported The Hindu. She was then found lying in a pool of blood by the police personnel on night patrol duty. The childless couple used to frequently quarrel. Her husband, an alcoholic used to get money from her on the pretext of joining back duty. However, he would return home spending the money, said the report.
