Incensed after the bodyguard of a Samajwadi Party politician winked at her, a woman from Agra climbed atop his car, broke the windshield and yanked off the party emblem. According to a report in The Times of India, the incident took place on Sunday evening. Witnesses claimed that the 23-year-old, who was with her sister, saw Abhinav Sharma’s gunner winking at her from inside the car after her scooter had stopped beside the cavalcade at an intersection.     A commotion reportedly ensued and one of Sharma’s guards smashed her mobile phone which she had used to click a picture of the guard. By that time a crowd had gathered and the woman proceeded to climb up the MLA aspirant’s car and took off the SP flag at one end of the vehicle and used it to break the windshield. She then challenged the politician and his bodyguard to come out and face her, demanding an apology and the cost for the damages to her phone. The report mentions that the police arrived after traffic had come to halt in the area. The matter was resolved and the woman was paid Rs 6,500 for her phone. Speaking to the newspaper, Sharma refused to accept that one of his men had winked at the woman. He said that the money had been paid to them as his men had misbehaved with the women.
