A 20-year-old lady, Aparna, committed suicide on Monday by hanging herself for reportedly being abused by her husband for spending too much time on WhatsApp and Facebook, according to TOI.
Police said that her husband, Kumar, was angry with her for being on the social media platforms for so long and took away her phone, according to reports.
After her husband admonished her, she reportedly took another phone and called her brother to tell him everything that had happened. Then she locked herself in the room and hanged herself.
By the time Kumar broke open the door, the lady was hanging dead from the ceiling with a duppata by her neck.
Immediately, she was taken to a private hospital but the doctor declared her dead and the body was taken to a government hospital.
